The bride-to-be is the daughter of Sally Roper, Swoyersville and Thomas Kane, Woodbridge, New Jersey. She is the granddaughter of Margaret Walk and the late Robert Walk and the late Margaret and Henry Kane.

The prospective groom is the son of Eugene and Kathleen Pisano, Jr., Exeter. He is the grandson of Eugene and Norma Pisano, Sr., Exeter , and Carol Kearney and the late Joseph Kearney, Rock Hill, South Carolina.

Ms. Kane is a 2000 graduate of Bishop O’Reilly High School and a 2006 cum laude graduate of College Misericordia, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. She is employed by Medical Oncology Associates as a registered nurse.

Mr. Pisano is a 1999 graduate of Wyoming Area Secondary Center and attended Luzerne County Community College. He is employed by Evergreen Landscaping and Snow Mgmt., Inc.

A June 2010 wedding is planned.
