Gela A. Lispi and Richard P. Griffin, together with their families, announce their engagement and approaching marriage.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Joseph and Connie Lispi of Yatesville. She is the granddaughter of Gela and the late Albert Lispi, Yatesville and the late Dorothy and Leonard Sharon, Pringle. The groom-to-be is the son of April Sands and Richard S. Griffin of Wilkes-Barre. He is the grandson of Joan Sands, Wilkes-Barre and the late Katherine Kulick of Wilkes-Barre.

Gela is a 1996 graduate of Seton Catholic High School and Empire Beauty School as a certified cosmetologist. She is employed in the family business. Richard is a 1998 graduate of GAR Memorial High School and received an A.A.S. degree in criminal justice from Luzerne County Community College in 2001. He is employed as a route salesman for Ira Middleswarth and Sons in Larksville.

The couple will exchange vows March 12, 2010 at Sandals Whitehouse Resort, Westmoreland, Jamaica.
