Mr. Robert Brideau has singularly carried on for years the work of propagating devotion to St. Maria Goretti through the publication of a novena booklet and holy cards as well as encouraging enrollment in a prayer guild. He has presided over this work from his home in Ontario, Canada and funded much of the work on his own. For many years he traveled to Laflin with a delegation of devotees and friends for the Feast Day of Maria Goretti. He has reached out to us as parishioners of St. Maria Goretti Shrine to take over his work. There will be a meeting of any person interested in assisting us with the Novena Apostolate on November 14, Saturday, at 2:00 p.m. in the parish office.
