Parishes join to feed the needy

Sacred Heart of Jesus Church and Holy Mother of Sorrows Polish National Catholic Church, both of Dupont, have joined efforts to feed the families in need this holiday season. Each parish will be holding a food drive for the Greater Pittston Food Pantry the weekend of Nov. 7 and 8 and Nov. 14 and 15. Containers will be placed in each parish church vestibule during weekend services. You can also drop off your donation at each of the parish rectories. Pictured are the Inter-Parish Commitee members for the Food Drive: left to right, Fr. Joseph Verespy, pastor of Sacred Heart, Mary Ann Rinaldi, Dee Lacomis, Rev. Dawid, pastor of Holy Mother of Sorrows, Elaine Starinski, and Carol Bondurich. Absent from photo are Carl Cwikla and Al Micha.
