Pets are blessed at Sacred Heart Church, Dupont

The traditional Blessing of Pets was held last Sunday at Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, Dupont. Father Joseph Verespy, pastor, conducted the ceremony.

This is Jemelle in the arms of owner Janet. This breed, called Schipperke, is from Belgium. The best way to describe this puppy is a miniature black bear. The owner researched online for a new puppy after losing her beloved pet of 13 years and after filling out a questionnaire on the IAMS webiste she traveled to Ohio to purchase Jemelle.
