A Prophecy Conference, “Signs of the Times, Does Bible Prophecy Speak Today,” will be held at the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church, 317 Luzerne Avenue, West Pittston, on Friday evening, October 30 and Saturday, October 31.
Topics for the conference include: “What is Prophecy?”, “General Signs”, “Specific Signs in Nature and Society,” “Specific Signs in Israel and Politics,” “Distinctions between the Rapture and the Second Coming of Christ”, “Concluding Events”. There will be an open forum discussion time on Sat., at 3 p.m. for questions registrants would like answered.
Conference facilitators will include Rev. Dr. Michael E. Benner, an ordained Baptist minister who has served as a pastor and evangelist. He has taught on the university level on Religious Philosophy and Religious studies. Rev. Dr. Douglas Jensen, ordained with the Christian & Missionary Alliance, is currently serving as pastor of the Moosic Alliance Church. Dr. Jensen has taught Microbiology on the university level for more than a decade. Rev. Don Strope is the host pastor, and is ordained by the Christian and Missionary Alliance.
This Conference on Biblical Prophecy will help the participant to develop an understanding of the link between Biblical prophecy and contemporary events; to gain insights into the plan of God and how world events play out in fulfillment of divine prophecy.
The course is open to the general public on a free-will offering basis, regardless of age, church affiliation, or religious background. Printed materials and meals will also be offered on a free-will offering basis, however, those desiring materials or meals must pre-register by Monday, Oct. 26.
Pre-registration can be done by calling the church office at 654-2500. The doors will open Friday at 6:30 p.m. and Saturday at 8:30 a.m., for those who wish to come just for the information shared in the sessions.
