St. Mary of Mount Carmel Church, Dunmore was the setting July 11 for the wedding of Amy L. Shafer, Scranton to Dr. Robert J. Notari, Old Forge. The bride is the daughter of Deborah and James G. Tuffy, Scranton. The bridegroom is the son of Diane and Richard P. Notari Sr., Old Forge. The Rev. John Doris officiated at the 1:30 p.m. ceremony.

Stephanie Sebastianelli, Scranton, cousin of the bride was maid of honor. Dr. Allison Lucarelli, Old Forge, cousin of the bride was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Angela Wright and Kendra Croker, Old Forge, cousins of the bride; Heather Revello, Old Forge, cousin of the bridegroom; Victoria Jasuta, Manhattan Beach, California, Godchild of the bridegroom; Aimee Fox, Old Forge, friend of the couple; Abby Sebastianelli, Scranton, cousin of the bride. Lauren Humphrey, Clinton, New Jersey, cousin of the bridegroom was flower girl.
Richard P. Notari Jr, Old Forge and Timothy J. Notari, Pittsburgh, brothers of the bridegroom, were best men. Groomsmen were Patrick Revello and John J. Argonish, Old Forge, cousins of the bridegroom; Arthur M. Lucarelli III, Old Forge, and Kenneth R. Sebastianelli, Scranton, cousins of the bride; Michael Lucarelli, Marlton, New Jersey, friend of the bridegroom; and Kyle Jasuta, Manhattan Beach, California, cousin of the bridegroom. Dante Lucarelli, cousin of the bride was ring bearer. A reception was held at Woodlands Inn and Resort, Plains Township.
The bride is a graduate of Bishop O’Hara High School and earned her Bachelor’s degree in elementary education from King’s College. She is pursuing a Master’s degree in special education at Wilkes University and is a special education teacher in the Old Forge School District.
The bridegroom is a graduate of Old Forge High School and earned a Bachelor’s degree in biology from Wilkes University. He also earned a Doctor Dental Medicine degree from the University of Pittsburgh and owns a private practice of family dentistry in Old Forge.
Following a wedding trip to St. Lucia, the couple resides in Old Forge.
