United in Marriage

Lindsay Marie Pace and Leonard Joseph Jankowski were united in marriage on July 19, 2008 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Pittston. The bride is the daughter of Kim and Carol Pace of Jenkins Township and the groom is the son of Regina Jankowski of Wilkes-Barre and the late Leonard Jankowski.

Given in marriage by her mother and father, the bride chose her friend Meghan Sheehan as her maid of honor. Her bridesmaids were her friends Mary Kay Finn, Leslie Goyne and Rachel Yenkowski. The groom chose his friend Shawn Jetton as best man and his groomsmen were his friends Shawn Maslouski, Sean Gibson and Robert Bouika.

Readings were given by Stephanie Sciandra, cousin of the bride and Mary Ann Swank, sister of the groom. Gifts were presented by Josephine Sciandra, cousin of the bride and Judy MacMinn, cousin and Godmother of the groom. Robert Yenkowski, friend of the bride and groom, played the organ while Jason Salano, friend of the bride was the vocalist.

The bride and groom were honored at an engagement party at the bride’s home. The bride was honored at a shower given by her mother at Kazimi’s Restaurant. A rehearsal dinner was hosted by Ronald and Mary Ann Swank, sister and brother-in-law of the groom at Wyoming Valley Country Club. An evening cocktail hour and dinner reception was held at Fox Hill Country Club.

The bride is a 2002 graduate of Bishop O’Reilly High School and a 2006 cum laude graduate of King’s College where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Marketing. She is employed by Innovex as a pharmaceutical sales representative for Abbott Laboratories.

The groom is a 1994 graduate of Bishop Hoban High School. He is employed by DeAngelo Brothers of Hazleton as a computer programmer.

The couple honeymooned in Saint Lucia and now reside in Plains.
