PD Weddings

Mary Beth Ziobro and Leonard Thomas Yashinski III were united in marriage on September 13, 2008 at Sacred Heart Church, Dupont. The Rev. Joseph Verespy and Rev. Richard Palmounter co-celebrated the double-ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Ronald and Sharon Ziobro, Dupont. She is the granddaughter of Irene Eustice, Dupont; the late John T. Eustice, Sr Dupont; and the late Henry and Amelia Ziobro, Dupont.

The groom is the son of Leonard and Joann Yashinski, Pittston. He is the grandson of Josephine and Peter Rizzo, Avoca; and the late Ida and Leonard Thomas Yashinski, Sr., Plymouth.

The bride, escorted by her father, chose her sister, Dana Ungureit, as her matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Felicia Brunetti, cousin of the groom, Amanda Skrzysowski, Lauren Lokuta, Kathryn Krulack, and Renee Gerber all friends of the bride. The flower girl was Brandi Sorokin, godchild of the groom and niece of the couple.

The groom chose his brother, Eric Yashinski as his best man. Groomsmen were Ronald Michael Ziobro II, brother of the bride; Vincent Rome, Charles Rome, Jeffrey Kulick, James Malloy and Jack Lasky all friends of the groom. The ring bearer was William Sorokin, Jr., godchild of the bride and nephew of the couple. Spiritual readings were given by Sharon Sorokin, sister of the groom, Amy Arena, cousin of the bride and Katlyn Arena, cousin of the bride. Offertory gifts were presented by Melissa Blakiewicz, godmother and aunt of the bride, Mary Margaret Yashinski, aunt of the groom and Cathy Brunetti, aunt of the groom.

The bride is a 2003 graduate of Seton Catholic High School and 2007 graduate of the Pennsylvania State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. She is currently employed as a second grade teacher in Gainesville, Virginia.

The groom is a 2003 graduate of Seton Catholic High School and 2007 graduate of the Pennsylvania State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering with a minor in Engineering Mechanics. He is currently employed at Lockheed Martin as a systems engineer in Chantilly, Virginia.

The couple celebrated their one-year anniversary with a trip to Disney World. They currently reside in Bristow, Virginia.
