PD Weddings

Abby Leigh O’Brien and Joseph M. Jordan were united in marriage on May 23, 2009 at the Hilton Head Island Marriott Resort in Hilton Head, South Carolina. Officiate was Mr. Rich Smreczak.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel M. O’Brien of Shillington, Pennsylvania. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Joan B. Edgar and the late Lloyd Edgar of West Lawn, Pennsylvania and the late Maggie Eugene O’Brien of Lake Worth, Florida.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph K. Jordan of Bluffton, South Carolina. He is the grandson of Mrs. Gertrude Agliata and the late Carmen Agliata of Pittston, Pennsylvania and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Pisano of Wyoming, Pennsylvania and the late Joseph M. Jordan.

Given in marriage by her parents, the bride chose her best friend, Lindsay Clauser as her maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Kristi Pokrywa, Christian Dewald and Kari Louis, all friends of the bride and Lindsey Jordan, sister of the groom. Flower girl was Alena Carabetta, cousin of the groom.

The groom chose his brother Kevin Jordan as best man. Groomsmen were Luke Burkhart, Mark Rogers and John Louis, all friends of the groom and Jonathan O’Brien, brother of the bride. Ring bearer was Nicholas DiPippo, cousin of the groom. Scriptural readings were given by Leigh Harrison, cousin of the bride and Christine DiPippo, cousin of the groom. Greeters were Jordan and Jeremy Zezza, cousins of the groom.

An evening cocktail hour and dinner reception was held at the Hilton Head Island Marriott Resort in Hilton Head, South Carolina. The couple was honored at an engagement party hosted by Mr. and Mrs. John Louis in their home. The bride was honored at a bridal shower given by her mother and mother of the groom at Toscani Restaurant, West Lawn, Pennsylvania. A rehearsal dinner was given by the parents of the groom at the Aqua Grille and Lounge, Hilton Head, South Carolina.

Mrs. Jordan is a 2001 graduate of Governor Mifflin High School and a 2005 graduate of Penn State University where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Telecommunications with a minor in Business. She is employed by Gulfstream Aerospace in Savannah, Georgia as a production scheduler.

Mr. Jordan is a 2000 graduate of Niskayuna High School and a 2004 graduate of Penn State University where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Logistics. He is employed by Gulfstream Aerospace in Savannah, Georgia as a manufacturing manager.

Following a honeymoon trip to Maui, Hawaii, the couple is residing in Pooler, Georgia.
