PD Weddings

Cindy Rae Lucarella and Michael Christopher Turak were united in marriage on February 7, 2009 at the Second Presbyterian Church in Pittston by the Rev. David Brague. Today they are celebrating their first anniversary.

The bride is the daughter of Marie and Raymond Lucarella of Pittston. She is the granddaughter of the late Elizabeth and Michael Galasso and the late Jennie and Louis Lucarella of Pittston. The groom is the son of Carol Turak and the late Robert Turak of Hunlock Creek. He is the grandson of the late Mary and Donald Meade of Trucksville and the late Anna and John Turak of Hunlock Creek.

The bride was given away in marriage by her father. She chose her sister Dawn Licata as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Rachel Rose and Nicole Marie Lazevnick, nieces of the bride.

The groom chose his brother Robert Turak as best man. Church ushers were Michael Delconte and the late Robert Delconte, cousins of the bride. Scripture was read by Conrad Goeringer, nephew of the groom and words of the prophet Kahlil Gibran were read by the late Robert Delconte, cousin of the bride. Musical selections were sung by Raymond Lucarella, father of the bride and Karen Sobuta, family friend. Following the ceremony an evening reception was held in the couples honor at Tribeca Banquet and Convention Center.

The bride is employed by Aegis Therapies as an Occupational Therapist serving as Rehab Program Coordinator at Golden Living Center Summit in Wilkes-Barre. The groom is employed by Health Care Services where he is Senior District Manager.

The couple resides in West Pittston with their daughter Mia Elizabeth.
