United in Marriage

Kimberly Marie Perlock and Joseph Peter Chorey were united in the sacrament of marriage Saturday, May 23, 2009 at 1 p.m. at Saint John the Baptist Church, Larksville. Father Gerald Gurka performed the double-ring ceremony.

Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Chorey

The bride is the daughter of Joseph and Elaine Perlock of West Wyoming. She is the granddaughter of Romaine and the late Matthew Lubash and the late Joseph and Agnes Perlock all of West Wyoming.

The groom is the son of Barbara and the late Joseph Chorey, Larksville. He is the grandson of Olga and the late Frank Cajka, Swoyersville and the late Viola and Peter Chorey, Larksville.

The bride, escorted by her father, chose her friend, Bethany Tomascik, Courtdale, as her maid of honor. Bridesmaid was Amy Chorey, Waterbury, Vermont, sister of the groom. The groom’s cousin and goddaughter, Samantha Taylor, Carbondale, was the flower girl. The groom chose his friend, Kevin Carle, Westfield, New Jersey, as his best man. The groomsman was Eric Perlock, West Wyoming, brother of the bride. Readings were given by Eileen Kobylski, Friend of the bride and groom. Offertory gifts were presented by Judy, Kyle and Justin Toporcer.

A bridal shower was hosted by the mothers of the bride and groom at the Knights of Columbus, Luzerne. The mother of the groom hosted a rehearsal dinner at Perugino’s Luzerne. An evening cocktail hour and dinner reception were held at the Knights of Columbus by the parents of the bride and groom.

The bride is a 2003 graduate of Wyoming Area and a 2007 magna cum laude graduate of College Misericordia. Mrs. Chorey is employed by the Social Security Administration Wilkes-Barre field office. The groom is a 2000 graduate of Bishop O’Reilly High School and attended Luzerne County Community College. Mr. Chorey is employed by the Home Depot.

Following a honeymoon to the Outer Banks of North Carolina, the couple resides in Exeter.
