Rosemary Kurpiewski of Old Forge and Michael Wincovitch Jr. of Pittston exchanged wedding vows on August 16, 2008 at 1 p.m. at St. Michael’s R.C. Church, Old Forge. Reverend Joseph Brozena officiated the ceremony. Rosemary is the daughter of Frank and Donna Kurpiewski, Old Forge. Michael is the son of Michael Wincovitch Sr, Taylor and Joan Wincovitch, Waverly.

The bride chose her sisters Kristine Lenceski, and Renee Lenceski of Old Forge as maids of honor. Bridesmaids were Kimberly Reed, Scranton, sister of the groom; Amy Kurpiewski, Old Forge, sister-in-law of the bride; cousins of the bride, Yvonne Farrell, Old Forge and Bernadette Parzych, Taylor; and friends Jillian DeStefano, Old Forge, Kellen Povanda, Natalie Povanda and Blaine Povanda all of Moosic. Flower girl was Lilianna Apolonia Lenceski, Old Forge.
The groom chose Ellio Domenick, Virginia Beach, VA, friend of the groom as his best man. Ushers were Thomas Kurpiewski, Old Forge, brother of the bride; Jeffery Reed, Scranton, brother-in-law of the groom; brothers-in-law of the bride, Chester Lenceski III and Joseph Lenceski, Old Forge; friends of the groom Joseph DeSimone, Cornelius, North Carolina and Robert Pezzuti, Old Forge. Ring bearers were Godson of the bride, Chester Lenceski IV, Old Forge and nephew of the bride Matthew Lenceski, Old Forge. A reception was held at the Via Appia, Taylor.
The bride is a graduate of Old Forge High School and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education for the University of Scranton and a Master’s degree in Instructional and Curriculum Development from Bloomsburg University. She is employed as a third grade teacher at Riverside Elementary West.
The groom is a graduate of Riverside High School and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Penn State University. He is employed as a mortgage consultant at M&T Bank.
After a wedding trip to Cancun, Mexico the couple resides in Pittston.
