PD Weddings

Lora Denise Ellsworth and Jerome Paulukonis were united in marriage Friday evening July 3, 2009. The Rev. Ronald Cease presided over the double-ring garden ceremony held at the home of the bride’s parents. The couple chose Alizabeth Ellsworth, daughter of the bride and Lenora, Bethany and Olivia Paulukonis, daughters of the groom as their attendants.

Lora is the daughter of Norman and Denise Ellsworth, Harding. She is the granddaughter of Margaret Ellsworth, West Wyoming and the late Norman Ellsworth, and the late Elizabeth Shendock and the late Frank Shendock. Jerry is the son of Jerome and Elizabeth Paulukonis, Mahanoy City. He is the grandson of Jerome and Florence Paulukonis, Shenandoah and the late Edward and Elizabeth Sluzis.

Mrs. Paulukonis is a 1997 graduate of Wyoming Area Secondary Center and a 2001 graduate of King’s College, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies. She is currently practicing in the Emergency Department of Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

Mr. Paulukonis is a 1990 graduate of Mahanoy Area High School. Post-graduation, he served in the United States Air Force. He is retired from the State of Pennsylvania Department of Corrections where he served 14 years as a Correctional Officer.

Together with their children, the couple resides in Plains.
