United in Marriage

Christie Ann Bellanca and Justin Ryan Lambert were united in marriage May 23, 2009, at Saint Rocco’s Catholic Church, Pittston, by Rev. Daniel Schwebbs. Rev. Charles Rokosz served as co-celebrant.

The bride is the daughter of Rosalie and Cataldo Bellanca, Jr., of Pittston. She is the granddaughter of Bridget Simone, Pittston and the late Carmen Simone, and the late Cataldo and Antoinette Bellanca. The groom is the son of Judith and Thomas Lambert, Duryea. He is the grandson of Donald Hastie, Avoca and the late Martha Hastie and the late Kenneth and Dorothy Lambert.

The bride was escorted down the aisle by her father. She chose Nicole Addeo, college roommate and friend, as her maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Teresa Luvender and Jessica Bodzio, sisters of the groom; Holly Molenda, Andrea Waters and Megan Elias, friends of the bride. Ella Mae Luvender, niece of the groom, was flower girl.

The groom chose his friend, William Waters, as his best man. Groomsmen were Thomas Lambert, Jr., brother of the groom; Joseph Mayo and Wesley Mayo, cousins of the groom; Kevin McHale and Michael Marriggi, friends of the groom. Logan Lambert, nephew of the groom, was ring bearer. Scriptural readings were given by Edward Bodzio, Cindy Lambert and Daniel Luvender, in-laws of the groom. Gifts were presented by Allison and Michael Bone and Michael Wallitsch, cousins of the bride.

The bride was honored at a shower hosted by mothers of the bride and groom, grandmother of the bride and bridesmaids at Colarusso’s LaPalazzo, Moosic. A rehearsal dinner was hosted by parents of the groom at Arcaro and Genell, Old Forge. An evening cocktail hour and dinner reception were held at the Radisson Lackawanna Station Hotel, Scranton.

The bride is a 2001 graduate of Pittston Area High School, and a 2005 graduate of Syracuse University, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She is also a 2008 graduate of Syracuse University with a Clinical Doctorate degree in Audiology. She is employed by Geisinger Wyoming Valley in Wilkes-Barre as an Audiologist.

The groom is a 2001 graduate of Seton Catholic High School. He attended Keystone College and Luzerne County Community College, where he studied Human Services. He is employed by Autism Behavioral Services in West Pittston as a Therapeutic Staff Support worker.

Following a honeymoon to Maui, Hawaii, the couple resides in the Parson section of Wilkes-Barre.
