Cheryl Graham and John Alu were united in marriage, June 6, 2009 at St. Rocco’s Church, Pittston. The ceremony was performed by Father Daniel Shwebs.

Mr. and Mrs. John Alu
The bride is the daughter of David and Roxanne Wech, Jenkins Twp and Michael Graham, Pittston. She is the granddaughter of John and Carol Farrel of Yatesville and the late Charles and Marguerite Graham of Scranton. The groom is the son of Anthony and Linda Alu, Pittston Twp. He is the grandson of John Alu of Pittston and the late Pauline Alu and the late Orlando and Helen Donnini of Parsons.
The bride, given away by her father and stepfather, chose her sister Lisa Mancini as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Christine Smith, sister of the groom; Cassandra McCracken, friend of the bride and Danielle Stetina, friend of the bride. Spiritually present was bridesmaid Amy Masher, friend of the bride who passed away September of 2008. Mykayla Mancini, niece of the bride served as flower girl.
The groom chose his close friend, William Vassell as his best man. Groomsmen were Robert Smith, brother-in-law of the groom; Brian Graham, brother of the bride; Bernard McDonald, friend of the groom and Patrick Cawley, friend of the groom. Jacob Mancini, nephew of the bride served as ring bearer.
A bridal shower was held in honor of the bride at Best Western Genetti Hotel, Wilkes-Barre and was given by mothers of the bride and groom and bridesmaids. A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom’s parents at the Rose Room. An evening wedding reception was held at the Best Western Genetti Hotel, Wilkes-Barre.
The bride is a 2004 graduate of Pittston Area High School and a 2008 graduate of Luzerne County Community College, earning as Associates degree in dental hygiene. She is currently employed as a dental hygienist for Aspen Dental, Wilkes-Barre.
The groom is a 2002 graduate of King’s College, earning a Bachelors degree in Accounting. He is currently employed as a Fiscal Manager for Luzerne County.
Following a honeymoon in the Western Caribbean, the couple resides n Avoca with their dog Chase.
