Mary Ann O’Fier and Anthony Francis Yanchuk were united in marriage October 19, 2007 at St. Mark’s Church, Thornhurst, by Rev. Father Anthony Urban. The bride is the daughter of Margaret Ann O’Fier, Falls and the late Philip O’Fier Jr. The groom is the son of Helen A. Yanchuk, Wilkes-Barre and the late Anthony S. Yanchuk.

The bride was escorted to the altar by her brother, Christopher O’Fier. She chose her friend, Nicole Rinaldi, as her matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Alice Fortini and Angela Skutack, friends of the bride. The groom chose Thomas Quick to serve as his best man. Groomsmen were Albert Javage and Joseph Cramer, all friends of the groom. Scriptural readings were given by Heidi Willis, cousin of the bride and bridesmaids. Offertory gifts were presented by Josephine and Thomas McNamara, aunt and uncle of the bride.
A bridal shower, hosted by the mother of the bride and attendants, was held at East Mountain Inn, Wilkes-Barre. A rehearsal dinner was held at Bear Creek Inn in Bear Creek. An evening cocktail hour and reception was held at The Highlands at Newberry Estates, Dallas.
The bride is a graduate of Seton Catholic High School. She is employed by Geisinger Health System as an administrative assistant. The groom is a graduate of Coughlin High School and Penn State University where he earned his degree in telecommunications. He is employed by Geisinger Health System as a lead data network analyst.
Following a honeymoon trip to Aruba the couple will reside in Bear Creek.
