Wed Saturday

Anita Marie Kasteleba, daughter of Ms. Suzanne M. Kasteleba, Duryea and Mr. John Kasteleba, Jr., West Wyoming and Joseph Frank Budzilek, son of Patricia and Joseph Budzilek, Dupont, were united in marriage on September 19 at Holy Rosary Church in Duryea. The double-ring ceremony was officiated by the Reverend Charles Rokosz. The bride arrived and the couple departed the ceremony in a horse-drawn carriage.

The bride is the granddaughter of the late Sophie and Walter Nestorick and the late Mary and John Kasteleba. The groom is the grandson of the late Anne and Frank Budzilek and the late Josephine and Frank Janicki.

Given in marriage by her parents, the bride chose her sister, Suzanne A. Halko, as her maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Cynthia Snyder, sister of the groom; Kim Fath and Kristen Angelicola, friends of the bride; Ashley and Sarah Ann Snyder, nieces of the groom. Flower girls were Mia and Alyssa Angelicola.

The groom chose Jeffrey Roche and Henry Klimek as best men. Groomsmen were Stanley Budzilek, uncle of the groom; David Bojnowski, Daniel Nyzio and David Bryk, friends of the groom. Ring bearer was Anthony Bojnowski. Honorary ring bearer was Andrew Vladimir Halko, nephew of the bride. Scriptural readings were given by Betty English, Ashley Snyder and Sarah Ann Snyder. Offertory gifts were presented by the parents of the bride and groom. Music for the ceremony was provided by Linda Houck, organist; Jewel Supplee, violinist; Lori Ashton, vocalist; and Robert Luciano, trumpet soloist.

An evening cocktail hour and dinner reception was held following the ceremony at Apple Tree Terrace at the Newberry Estate, Dallas with entertainment provided by the Ray Suda Orchestra. The bride was honored with a bridal shower given by her mother, Suzanne M. Kasteleba and great aunt, Anna Pocholonis at the Apple Tree Terrace at the Newberry Estate, Dallas. The parents of the groom, Patricia and Joseph, hosted a rehearsal dinner at Rossi’s, Archbald.

The bride is a 1992 graduate of Seton Catholic High School. She also attended Luzerne County Community College and the Academy of Creative Hair Design graduating with a degree in cosmetology. She is employed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as an assistant manager for the Wine and Spirits stores and is also sole proprietor of Shear Imagination Hair Salon in West Wyoming.

The groom is a 1987 graduate of Seton Catholic High School. He attended Wilkes University graduating in 1992 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. He is employed by J. Bud, Incorporated a family-owned business.

Following an extended honeymoon in Maui, Hawaii, the couple will reside in Dupont.
