Chris Price November 1 -7

Athlete of the Week

On Friday night November 6 Pittston Area football tailback Chris Price took home the 32nd annual Carmello Falcone Memorial Trophy as the most valuable player of the Pittston Area – Wyoming Area football game.

Chris rushed for 202 yards and two touchdowns in the Patriots 40-19 win. He had runs of 36, 32, 31, 19 and 15 yards. Chris, a senior, is listed at 5-8 and 160 pounds. That may even be generous. But what he lacks in size he made up for in heart in the big game.

Chris was also a starting cornerback for the Patriots.

The week before the Wyoming Area game he set a school single-game record with 346 yards rushing versus Meyers.

The record was 310 held by Jimmy Cefalo.

Posters of Chris can be seen at Januzzi’s Pizza and Smart Designs and Graphics in Wyoming and Tony’s Pizza in Pittston.

Chris is pictured getting the MVP trophy from Sam Falcone.
