District 2 Cross Country Championships

WA’s Josh Krall, sixth in 3A, qualifies for state meet

Wyoming Area runner Josh Krall placed sixth overall in the District 2 AAA Cross Country Championship Friday morning at Scranton Municipal Golf Course. Josh was the top local finisher in 17:45. WA’s Chris Hromek also medaled, coming in 14th in 18:12. Medals were awarded to the top 20.

Wyoming Area was seventh in the boys AAA team standings.In the girls meet PA freshman Catherine Lombardo was 11th in 21:23. She was the top local girl. WA’s Sara Radzwilka, 21:50, and Michelle Golden, 21:56, took the last two medal spots in AAA girls.

Marissa Durako, a Wyoming Area Catholic graduate running for Holy Redeemer, was second overall. Redeemer won the team title. Pittston Area was eighth.
