GP YMCA football and basketball league registrations extended

The Greater Pittston YMCA Athletic Department has extended registration for both basketball and football leagues until Saturday October 30..

It is not too late to stop by the YMCA to register for the Rich Musinski Indoor Football League and the basketball league. The Musinski league will focus on the fundamentals of football. The program will be directed by Rich Musinski, Scranton / Wilkes-Barre Pioneers Wide Receiver. Each player will receive one practice per week and games will be played on Sundays at the Greater Pittston YMCA. The games will be touch, not flag! The league will be split up into three age divisions: 6-7, 8-9, 10-12. Practices will be once a week and games will be played on Sunday afternoon at the Pittston YMCA.

In the Youth Basketball League games will be held on Saturdays and practices will be during the weekday, along with three league fundamental clinics throughout the season. The league will consist of Coed K-1st grade, Boys and Girls 2nd and 3rd grade, Boys and Girls 4th and 5th grade, and Boys and Girls 6th grade divisions. Each player will get two league clinics directed by Coach Riddle along with one team practice per week and games will be played on Saturday mornings. The Co-ed League (K-1st) will be played on Friday early evenings.
