junior football briefs
This is the 40th year for West Pittston Rams Football and Cheerleading. We are refitting and repainting our helmets to match the original design of white Rams horns on the green helmet, with white facemask. The Board is considering moving to a green football jersey with a 40th Anniversary logo to honor the past teams. Parents of players are encouraged to share their thoughts by contacting president@westpittstonrams.com and to watch the Rams website for the next Board meeting to attend to discuss in person.
The Board reminds all players and cheerleaders that the Rams Association will host the nine cheer teams of the WVWYFCC for the League Cheerleading Competition at the Warriors stadium on Saturday, September 25. Parents of football and cheerleaders will participate in a variety of capacities to ensure this is a safe, organized, fun and financially-successful event. The cheerleading competition committee is being formed now and will meet in early March to begin preparations. To join, please contact president@westpittstonrams.com or check the Rams website for meeting place and time to attend in person.
