Featuring just 20 players this season, Coach Mark Uhrin’s squad went 4-0 in the division and 7-1 overall with its only loss coming to Division II team Scranton Prep.

Against Mid Valley, Brian “Bubba” Tomasetti led the way with two touchdown runs.

Kyree Toomey put the Blue Devils on the board in the first quarter with a 10-yard plunge before Tomasetti added a 30-yard run later in the second quarter.

Anthony Piccolini rushed for a two-point conversion to give Old Forge a 14-0 lead.

Mid Valley answered by returning the ensuing kickoff for a touchdown and cut the lead to 14-12 on another long score.

Tomasetti’s second touchdown gave Old Forge some breathing room and Toomey’s two-point run made the score 22-12.

Piccolini added the Blue Devils last score with a hard-fought run and the 28-12 final.

Dave Chromey picked off two passes to lead the Old Forge defense.
