Cantarella whiffs 17

Mariotti’s 8 OF Bank 0

AJ Cantarella struck out 17 of 18 batters and pitched a no-hitter as Mariotti Lumber shutout Old Forge Bank, 8-0.

Cantarella also singled and doubled to lead the Lumbermen at the plate as well. Bobby Rinaldi added two hits for Mariotti’s.

Robert Donovan fanned 13 for Old Forge Bank despite being charged with the loss.

Mariotti’s 4, Pagnotti’s 3

Joe Preate and Bobby Rinaldi each had two hits to back the pitching of Ben Grochowski as Mariotti Lumber edged Pagnotti Coal, 4-3, in Old Forge Little League action. Grochowski also added a double for the Lumbermen.

Mike Wasko had three hits for the Breaker Boys, and Kevin Yanul added a double.

Mariotti’s 9, Serafini’s 5

AJ Cantarella singled, doubled and struck out 12 as Mariotti Lumber beat Serafini’s of Moosic, 9-5.

Eric Grochowski tripled and singled, and Joe Preate and Mike Cantarella each added two hits for the Lumbermen. Anthony Delucca and Ben Grochowski each chipped in with a double.

Mariotti’s 16, Rossi’s 11

Eric and Ben Grochowski combined for six hits to lead Mariotti Lumber to a 16-11 win over Rossi’s Market.

Eric had two doubles among his three hits, and Ben singled three times for the Lumbermen. AJ Cantarella added a home run among his three hits, and Mike Cantarella and Steven Farber each chipped in with two hits.

Shane Schuback led Rossi’s with four hits. Brandon Vahey added three hits, and Jaret Horn added a double and single. Tyler Scarfo homered among his two hits for Rossi’s.

Bosak’s 12, Lions Club 2

Jerry Hobbs struck out seven over five innings to lead Bosak’s to a 12-2 win over Moosic Lions Club.

Jordan Ohler smacked two homers for the winners, and Tyler Cochran added a home run.

Mike Spinelli had two doubles for Lions Club.

Bosak’s 12, Pagnotti’s 8

Winning Nick Pelosi doubled as Bosak’s beat Pagnotti Coal, 12-8.

Kevin Yanul and Cooper Califano each had two hits for the Coalmen.

Rossi’s 13, Lane’s 6

Cameron Carpenter threw a three-hitter as Rossi’s Market beat Lane’s Crane, 13-6.

Shane Schuback led the Rossi’s offense with three hits, and Carpenter, Jaret Horn and David Smith each chipped in with two hits.
