Kim Kaville

OF Basketball

With the attention of every opposing defense on the schedule focused directly on her, Old Forge senior Kim Kaville has put in a workmanlike performance so far this season and continued to put up double-figures in scoring for the fourth consecutive season.

Kaville scored 16 points while handing out three assists and making three steals as the Blue Devils opened the second-half of Lackawanna League Division II play with a 40-39 victory over Valley View. The 5-foot-9 center also scored 11 points while grabbing six rebounds and handing out four assists in a loss to Dunmore.

For her performances, Kaville has been selected is the Old Forge Athlete of the Week for the week of Jan. 24-31.

In the victory over Valley View, Kaville scored six points in the first quarter to give the Blue Devils an early lead. She also had a hand in keeping Old Forge in the game against the Lady Bucks.

Kim is within 13 points of reaching the 1,200-point plateau for her career. She currently has scored 1,187 points during her four-year career in the Old Forge lineup.

A poster of Kim can be seen at Revello’s Pizza in Old Forge, and Smart Designs and Graphics in Wyoming, sponsors of the Sunday Dispatch Old Forge Athlete if the Week.
