Volunteer firefighters to help put out the fire

Will offer cold beer during Tomato Festival

Members of the Pittston Volunteer Fire Company will be available at the Pittston Tomato Festival to put out the fire for those who have consumed too much hot, spicy food. As they have the past few years, the fire fighters will offer cold beer and other adult beverages right at the firehouse adjacent to the Tomato Festival grounds.

The fire fighters will present a line-up of entertainment at their temporary pub.

Chuck Paul will perform on Thursday from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m. On Friday from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m., it will be Flaxy Morgan.

Chuck Paul returns on Saturday afternoon from 1 to 4 p.m. with Rob Price taking over from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m.

On Sunday, from 1 to 4 p.m. Rob Price is back, and from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m. Flaxy Morgan wraps things up.

Proceeds from Friday’s sales will go to the Liam Schulze Fund to offset his medical expenses. Liam is an 18 month old who needs a bone marrow transplant.
