WILKES-BARRE – With the November general election less than a month away, City Council and Mayor Tom Leighton listened to criticisms from several people Thursday night – both from familiar foes and new adversaries.
Residents concerned about the proposed River Street Corridor Improvement Project asked a lot of questions Thursday, but many of them came away unsure if their suggestions will be seriously considered.
There will be parking spaces along Coal Street – 53 in fact – eight more than before the $12 million widening project began.
