The Rocks and Minerals Permanent Gallery, interprets and presents a new and improved version of the “Rock Room,” a well-known and beloved exhibit that was retired more than a decade ago. “High School Musical,” Disney’s musical production presented by Green Ridge Youth Theatre, a division of Linn McDonald School of Dance, on Saturday at 2 p.m. at Dunmore High School. Art in the Park, a free, family-friendly program that features performances, arts activities and nature walks will be held Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to noon on July 22 and Aug. 12 at Merli Sarnoski Park and on Aug. 5 at McDade Park. The event is sponsored by the Lackawanna County commissioners in conjunction with the county Department of Arts and Culture.
