On October 4, NBC's "Saturday Night Live" had some fun with the recent Vice Presidential debate. The skit included comical portrayals of Senator Joseph Biden and Governor Sarah Palin and a rip on the city of Scranton.

The skit opened with special guest Queen Latifah as moderator Gwen Ifill. After a few jokes about her soon-to-be-released political book, the candidates took the stage and the laughs continued. Jason Sudeikis played the role of Sen. Joe Biden while former cast member Tina Fey reprised her role of Gov. Sarah Palin.
Fey, who left SNL a number of years ago, returned to the show as Gov. Palin soon after the McCain campaign announced the Governor's candidacy and people started noticing a resemblance between the two.
It wasn't long before the cast took some of the candidates' actual comments to an exaggerated comedic level. In the farce, the Biden character refers to Scranton as "a genetic cesspool" among other things.
Video of the complete skit is below. The character's comments on Scranton appear with about six minutes remaining in the entire skit.
