The University of Scranton has scheduled several art exhibits, theatrical plays and performances and other programs for the fall.
Events include:
• Oct. 13, noon – The Schemel Forum Luncheon Series: “Promised Land: The Books that Shaped America,” presented by Jay Parini, distinguished author and professor of English, Middlebury College. Redington Hall. Fees vary. Call 941-7816.
• Oct. 14, 7:30 p.m. – annual Harry Mullin, M.D., lecture featuring Nobel Prize winner for physics Murray Gell-Mann, Ph.D., at Houlihan-McLean Center. Free. Call 941-5873.
• Oct. 19 through Nov. 20, “P.W Costello: Designer, Engrosser, Illustrator” exhibit, Hope Horn Gallery, Hyland Hall. Free during gallery hours. Call 941-4214.
