Caring Corp

St. Francis of Assisi Kitchen and the Blue Cross of Northeastern Pennsylvania’s Caring Corp try to make a difference this Thanksgiving season by helping those in need. The Blue Cross of NEPA assisted St. Francis of Assisi and their community Kitchen serving lunch Monday, Nov. 16 to Friday Nov. 20 from 11 a.m. to noon. According to volunteer Santina Lonergan of Moosic, St. Francis of Assisi Kitchen has been helping feed the community for 31 years with the efforts of volunteers and donations from the area. Various businesses donate cakes and pies for the cause. Throughout the year the kitchen serves lunch everyday from 11 a.m. to noon. Dinner is also offered Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings at 4 p.m.
