HARRISBURG - Judge Ann Lokuta vowed to appeal a Court of Judicial Discipline ruling today that removes her from office and precludes her from holding any other judicial office.

I just read the entire decision on Westlaw: I could not stop myself, it was like reading a trashy novel. Then I remembered that here is a judge who had a terrible impact on the people she worked with. All the stories of the lawyers, clerks, and staff sobbing after being in court with her, and the effect her behavior had on the justice system makes me ill. I hope she never has that kind of power again: she needs help.
