The American Red Cross and Pitney Bowes Inc. are teaming up to deliver holiday cards to service members, their families and veterans.
The third annual Holiday Mail for Heroes program provides an opportunity to send holiday greetings to service members and veterans. The Red Cross and Pitney Bowes will screen cards for hazardous materials, sort and package the cards, and deliver them to military bases and hospitals, veterans hospitals and other locations during the holidays.
Holiday cards, with sufficient postage, should be addressed to: Holiday Mail for Heroes, P.O. Box 5456, Capitol Heights, MD 20791-5456. Cards must be received no later than Dec. 7 or they will be returned. Do not send “care packages,” monetary gifts, using glitter or include any inserts with the cards. For submission guidelines, visit redcross.org/holidaymail.
