DALTON The Scranton Rescue Mission will hold its third annual Dick Gray Golf Tournament on Tuesday, June 23, at Stonehedge Golf Club. Lunch being served at the Inne of the Abingtons, Dalton. DICKSON CITY – The Dickson City Primitive Methodist Church, Lincoln and Jackson streets, will hold its vacation Bible school June 15-19, from 6 to 8 p.m., with a closing picnic on Friday. DICKSON CITY – Kids Klothes Line, a clothing drive sponsored by The Dickson City Primitive Methodist Church, is collecting children’s clothing. Clothing should be in good condition, clean and folded, sizes preschool through high school. School uniforms are also welcome. The clothing will be used as part of Kids Klothes Line free clothing giveaway that will be held Aug. 22. Donations can be dropped off at the church Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon and during church services on Sunday, 11 a.m. to noon and 6 to 7 p.m. through June 14. DICKSON CITY – Sprint in conjunction with Safe Kids Lackawanna County will distribute fingerprint identification kits for children to emphasize summer safety on Saturday. Megan McCabe, Safe Kid’s community health nurse will be at the Fashion Mall Sprint store, 249 Scranton-Carbondale Highway, Dickson City, on Saturday from noon to 2 p.m. to discuss summer safety tips for kids. Representatives of Firestone will conduct vehicle safety checks and PetSmart officials will discuss pet safety. Refreshments will be provided.

DUNMORE – La Cucina Restaurant, 600 S. Blakely St., Dunmore, will host a Wine Festival in memory of Luciano Lepri on Sunday, June 7, from 5 to 8 p.m. Tickets are $40 and include wine and hors d’oevres. As part of National CPR/AED Awareness Week, June 1-7, the American Red Cross of Lackawanna County will offer free CPR classes on Saturday, June 6, from 9 a.m. to noon and noon to 3 p.m. at its headquarters, 545 Jefferson Ave., Scranton. PITTSTON – Consumer Credit Counseling of NEPA, a non-profit community service agency at 401 Laurel St., Pittston, will host a free “Road to Financial Fitness" workshop on Tuesday, June 2, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the lower-level conference room. Topics will include: creating a successful spending plan, setting financial goals, good credit habits, the cost of credit, credit reports, and improving your credit score. SCRANTON – The Lackawanna Historical Society will present Rocky Glen Documentary with a lecture and update by Bob Savakinus on Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Catlin House, 232 Monroe Ave., Scranton.

SCRANTON – The American Red Cross of Lackawanna County will sponsor “Save a Life Saturday” on Saturday, June 6, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Red Cross, 545 Jefferson Ave., Scranton. Children can learn fire safety and visit the Scranton Smoke House as well as learn other useful safety skills at this event, featuring “Scrubby the Bear,” free hot dogs and hamburgers, face painting, raffles, and a tour of the historic building. SCRANTON – “Car Lover’s Car Show” will be held Sunday, June 14, at McDade Park in Scranton. Gates open at 8 a.m. Proceeds benefit Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy. Awards will be given for the top 25 and “Best of Show.” Food will be available and music will be provided by Joe “The Big Kahuna” Kruz. Cost for pre-registration by June 1 is $8 and $10 for day of the show. Participants must be registered by noon to be considered.
