University of Scranton conducts semi-annual Street Sweep

More than 200 University of Scranton students recently participated in the university’s semi-annual Street Sweep. The students cleared litter from the streets in the hill section area of the city that surrounds campus. Project organizers, from left, are: Joe Quinn, Catonsville, Md.; Lauren Majeski, Dalton; Patricia Cermignano, Ardmore; William Pugh, Hillsborough, N.J.; and William Grogan, Mount Laurel, N.J. Each year more than 2,850 University of Scranton students perform a total more than 170,000 community service hours.
