Abington Heights wins volleyball title

Abington Heights pulled out a pair of close games that were extended beyond 25 points on the way to the District 2 Class AAA girls' volleyball championship match victory over Delaware Valley Wednesday night at North Pocono High School.

Maggie Fruehan had 17 kills, nine service points and eight digs to lead the Lady Comets to the 26-24, 20-25, 31-29, 25-21 victory.

Meghan Fraley had 35 assists and seven points while Nicole Heil added 11 digs and five points and Liz Jamison had 13 points, seven kills and five aces.
