Walmart temporarily evacuated as crews investigate fire report

PITTSTON TWP. — A report of a possible fire forced the evacuation of a Walmart Sunday afternoon.Shoppers vacated the Walmart Supercenter on Route 315 for close to 45 minutes as investigators searched for signs of a blaze, Pittston Township Volunteer Fire Department reported.According to Luzerne County 911, the call came in just after 4:30 p.m.Customers were allowed to continue shopping after the search turned up nothing and crews cleared the scene.
