Responsible adults should never give alcohol to a minor. In cultures that encourage giving children a little wine with their meal, the rate of alcoholism is astronomical. Everyone I know whose parents let them drink with the family as children struggles with alcoholism now.When I see someone with MD, DO, or PhD after their name recommend wine to control cholesterol, I am disgusted.
