Once plentiful across Pennsylvania, passenger pigeons died out 100 years ago today

Its features don’t stand out and it may not appear as impressive as some of the other hundreds of mounted birds on display at the Everhart Museum in Scranton.But it could be the most important.On the top shelf of a glass display cabinet sits a mounted specimen of a male passenger pigeon.
