Four new commissioners will soon join the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission following their confirmations by the state Senate on July 17.

William Brock of St. Marys, Elk County, was confirmed as the District 3 commissioner, representing Cameron, Centre, Clearfield, Clinton, Elk, Jefferson, McKean and Potter counties.

Richard Kauffman of Leesport, Berks County, was confirmed as the District 8 commissioner, representing Berks, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Lehigh, Montgomery, Northampton, Philadelphia and Schuylkill counties. He will complete the remaining term of Glade Squires, who was appointed to an eight-year term in 2010 and resigned in 2016.

Richard Lewis of Gettysburg, Adams County, was confirmed as one of two boating-at-large commissioners on the board.

Robert Small of Mechanicsburg, Cumberland County, was confirmed as the District 6 commissioner, representing Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Perry and York counties.

The commissioners will officially assume their duties after they have taken the oath of office. They are appointed to four-year terms.
