Chris Tamanini, left, and Brandon Harding, who will be senior swimmers at Dallas High School for the 2010-11 season, recently won medals at the Keystone State Games in York. Tamanini captured silver medals in the 100 freestyle, 200 backstroke, 100 backstroke and the 200 freestyle, and earned the gold in the100 butterfly. Harding captured the gold medal in the 200 individual medley, a silver medal in the 100 breaststroke, a silver in the 100 butterfly and the bronze in the 50 freestyle. Harding received a plaque for being the Most Outstanding Male Athlete of the Keystone State Games. The award is based on the athlete’s academic accomplishments, community service, excellence in swimming and overall contributions to the sport of swimming. With their KSG performances, Tamanini and Harding qualified to participate in the National State Games of America, which will be held in San Diego next summer.
