SUNRISE, Fla. — — Sidney Crosby scored on a power play at 3:07 of overtime and the Pittsburgh Penguins rallied from a two-goal deficit in the third period to beat the Florida Panthers 3-2 Monday night.
Pascal Dupuis and Michael Rupp also scored for the Penguins, who won consecutive games in regulation for the first time since Oct. 17 and 20. Evgeni Malkin had two assists.
Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 19 shots for the Penguins, who outshot Florida 45-21.
Nathan Horton and Keith Ballard scored for the Panthers, who have lost only once in regulation in their last 12 games (8-1-3). Michael Frolik had two assists, and Tomas Vokoun made 42 saves.
DENVER — David Jones scored twice, Paul Stastny had a goal and two assists and Colorado stopped a two-game skid.
Craig Anderson stopped 30 shots for Colorado, which was 3-6-1 in its previous 10 games after a surprisingly strong start to the season.
NEW YORK — Marian Gaborik again sparked the Rangers’ offense with two goals and two assists, but this time he had lots of long-awaited help in New York’s victory over Columbus.
After Columbus took a 2-0 lead in the first period, Gaborik got the Rangers going on their way to matching their biggest offensive output of the season following coach John Tortorella’s timeout.
TORONTO — Dwayne Roloson made 58 saves and Josh Bailey scored in overtime to lift the Islanders.
Bailey scored 4:18 into overtime, taking a pass from Sean Bergenheim and slamming the puck into an open net. It was the Islanders only shot of the extra period. Jeff Tambellini, Matt Moulson and Bergenheim also scored for New York (9-8-7).
NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Martin Erat scored two goals and Nashville beat Detroit for its sixth straight victory.
The streaking Predators finished off a five-game homestand in style and have won 10 of 12 overall.
OTTAWA — Mike Fisher scored 1:14 into overtime, giving Ottawa a victory over Washington.
Fisher, selected the NHL’s third star of the week earlier in the day, batted Chris Phillips’ centering pass from the left side out of the air and past Semyon Varlamov for his 10th goal of the season.
ST. LOUIS — Patrice Bergeron had four assists, two on power-play goals and another short-handed, to help Boston beat St. Louis for its first three-game winning streak of the season.
