Hazleton’s Matt Weckesser and Jared Piskorick each shot 40 at Sugarloaf Golf Club (par 36) on Tuesday at the Cougars slipped past Berwick 167-171 in a Wyoming Valley Conference Golf match.

Berwick’s Zach Eyer also fired 40, while Ryan Kisenwether (42), Stephen Celli (44) and Dustin Arner (45) rounded out the scores for the Bulldogs.

Scott Dobash (43) and John Medvecky (44) also scored for the Cougars.

Crestwood 157, MMI Prep 210

MMI Prep’s Justin Yakubowski was the medalist with a 34 on the par-35 Valley Country Club.

Crestwood took the win, led by Matt Kachurak with a 35. Mike Abramcheck (40), Tony Kempinski (40) and Eric Jeskiewicz (39) also scored.

Ryan Forte (46), Mitch Sayers (52) and Jake Swasser (78) scored for MMI.

Tunkhannock 160, Pittston Area 188

Dakota Brown came through with a 2-over 37 to lead the Tigers at Stonehedge. Adam Charles (40), Cody Bevan (41) and Matt Millan (42) also scored for Tunkhannock.

Keanu Sorbelli shot a 42 for the Patriots, who also got 46s from Brandon Matthews and Marco Daniels to go with a 54 by Josh Horton.

Nanticoke 188, MMI Prep 205

Jared Kmietowicz medaled with a 42 in a match played Monday at par-35 Valley Country Club. Rob James (48), Blake Brown (49) and John Urbanski also scored for Nanticoke.

Justin Yakubowski’s 43 led the Preppers, followed by Mitch Sauers (49), Ryan Forte (54) and Ian Duffy (59).

Marina Skevofilax and Carly Mensel won doubles for Dallas.
