PHILADELPHIA — Forty-seven-year-old Jamie Moyer tossed a two-hitter to become the oldest player in major league history to throw a shutout, and the Philadelphia Phillies beat the Atlanta Braves 7-0 on Friday night.

The Phillies confirmed the feat by Moyer, who is 47 years, 170 days old. Phil Niekro was the previous oldest at 46 years, 188 days when he tossed a four-hitter for the New York Yankees against Toronto on Oct. 6, 1986.
Moyer (4-2) struck out five and faced one batter over the minimum to earn his 262nd career victory. He allowed leadoff singles to Troy Glaus in the second and eighth innings.
NEW YORK — Aaron Rowand hit a two-run homer in the eighth inning after the Giants blew a two-run lead for Tim Lincecum, and San Francisco ended the New York Mets’ 10-game home winning streak with a victory.
San Francisco ended its East Coast road trip 4-2, while New York — which won the first two games of the series with game-ending homers — lost for the first time at home since April 21.
CINCINNATI — Joey Votto hit a three-run homer in the seventh inning to help Mike Leake and the Cincinnati Reds beat the Chicago Cubs.
WASHINGTON — Josh Willingham homered in the eighth inning and the Washington Nationals beat the struggling Florida Marlins, giving reliever Tyler Clippard his sixth win of the season.
PITTSBURGH — Yadier Molina drove in three runs and the St. Louis Cardinals twice batted around during big innings, beating Pittsburgh for the Pirates’ 12th loss of six runs or more in 31 games.
Adam Wainwright (5-1) gave up two runs and five hits over six innings — the 25th time in 26 starts dating to last season he’s lasted at least six and permitted three runs or fewer. He is 16-5 in his last 26 starts.
HOUSTON — Hunter Pence drove in Lance Berkman with a double in the 11th inning and the Houston Astros beat the San Diego Padres to snap a three-game losing streak.
Pence and Carlos Lee hit back-to-back homers off Edward Mujica in the sixth and Pedro Feliz drove in the tying run with a sacrifice fly off closer Heath Bell in the ninth.
PHOENIX — Chris Narveson gave up three hits pitching into the sixth inning and drove in a run, three Milwaukee players homered and the Brewers beat the Arizona Diamondbacks to complete a three-game sweep.
The Brewers, who routed Arizona 17-3 on Saturday night, got homers from Prince Fielder, Casey McGehee and Gregg Zaun to win for the fifth time in six games and finish their road trip 6-4.
LOS ANGELES — Clayton Kershaw bounced back from the shortest start of his brief career with eight innings of two-hit ball, leading the Los Angeles Dodgers to a victory over the Colorado Rockies .
