MEETINGS

Mayflower Little League will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the FOP Lodge, East Division Street, Wilkes-Barre. Meeting is open to the public and all members and parents are urged to attend.

West Side Little League has announced the meeting scheduled for Tuesday for voting on the 2011 board members has been canceled. It will be rescheduled at a later date.

UPCOMING EVENTS

Center for Cancer Wellness will hold its first ever Cancer Wellness Golf Open Sept. 23 at Irem Country Club in Dallas. Registration and lunch starts at 10:30 a.m. followed by a shotgun start at noon. Format is captain and crew. Cocktail hour and dinner will be held immediately following the event. Cost is $500 per team, $125 per person and $40 for dinner only guests. Liam’s Lighthouse Foundation will hold its second annual golf tournament on Sept. 18 at Sand Springs Country Club, 10 Club House Drive in Drums. Registration is from 7:30to 8:15 a.m., shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. Cost is $80 per golfer includes green fees, cart, goodie bag, skins game, dinner and prizes. Three levels of hole sponsors are available, platinum at $250, gold at $100 and silver at $50. Each registered golfer will receive a $50 store4golfers.com gift card. 12U Invitational Fast Pitch softball tournament will be held at Sherwood Park in Dunmore on Oct. 2 and 3. Entry fee is $350. This tournament will be limited to eight teams. For more information, contact Dino Darbenzio at 650-5159.
