CLINICS
Electric City Baseball will host a father and son baseball camp from 9 a.m.-noon on April 10 and April 11 for $125. A hitting fundamentals clinic will be held from 4:30-7 p.m. on April 18 and April 25 for $80. Both events are at Connell Park. MEETINGS
Crestwood Football parents will meet at 7 p.m. March 31 in the high school library. If you are a parent/guardian of a junior high or varsity player, please plan to attend. Questions or concerns, call Karen at 401-1313.
Hughestown Sports Club will meet at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Granteed’s Tavern, 247 Parsonage St., Hughestown. Club members are reminded that season ticket payments must be current. A few season tickets are available. Anyone expressing an interest may attend the meeting or contact any club member.
Patriot Wrestling Club will meet at 7 p.m. March 29 at Pittston Area High School. Nominations for officers for next season will take place. All parents of wrestlers are urged to attend.
Pittston Area Football players in grades 9-11 will meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday in the high school auditorium. This is a mandatory meeting with Coach Donato. All players must be accompanied by at least one parent.
Pittston Area Softball Booster Club will meet 7 p.m. Sunday at Tony’s Wine Cellar, in the City Line Plaza. Plans will be made for the upcoming softball season. Meetings are open to everyone, including coaches, parents, players and supporters of the softball program. Everyone is encouraged to attend. For more information, call at 466-4695.
Wilkes-Barre Heights Baseball will meet Sunday at the baseball field. The board will meet at 6 p.m. followed by the general meeting at 7 p.m. All coaches are asked to attend.
Wyoming Valley West Wrestling Booster Club will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the middle school. All parents are welcome. Banquet and summer fund raisers will be discussed.
REGISTRATIONS/TRYOUTS
Back Mountain Youth Lacrosse will have final registration for girls intramural program (grades 1-4) and girls travel team (grades 5-6) at the Outrageous coffee shop on Memorial Highway in Shavertown Saturday from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Beginners are encouraged. Leighton Men’s Sunday Softball League is now accepting applications. Any team interested can receive additional information by calling John Leighton at 825-7495. Deadline for entry is April 4. League play begins April 18.
Plains Yankees mini-football and cheerleading will hold its final registrations 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the Plains American Legion.
NEPA Miners Football organization will hold its first tryout and combine of the season from 7-9 p.m. Saturday at the Riverfront Sports Complex in Scranton. Registration starts at 6:30 p.m. There will be a $30 registration fee for new players trying out and $5 for returning and signed participants.
Wilkes-Barre Girls Softball League will hold registration 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday at Rodano’s on Public Square. Girls born between Jan. 1, 1993 and June 30, 2005 are eligible. All information can be found at www.wbgsl.com or by calling Gary at 822-3991.
UPCOMING EVENTS
Nanticoke Little League field days will be held on Saturday and Sunday. Meet at the main field at 9 a.m. for both days. Managers, coaches and volunteers are asked to attend. For more information, contact Wade at 735-0189.
Plymouth Senior Legion Baseball will be holding a fundraiser on Saturday at Shanix, Main Street, Kingston. Cost is $25 and includes food, beverages and entertainment. For more information or tickets call Nate at 760-5055 or T.J. at 801-3234.
Third annual Susquehanna Warrior Trail 5K race fun walk will be held at 10:15 a.m. on April 3 in Shickshinny. Registration will be from 9-10 a.m. at the playground pavilion located at Oak and North Canal streets. Proceeds will benefit the Susquehanna Warrior Trail.
