REGISTRATIONS/TRYOUTS

 

Wyoming Valley Flames Fastpitch travel team will be holding tryouts Saturday at the Wanamie Rec park in Newport Twp. The 12-year-olds will tryout at 10 a.m., and the 14- and 16-year-olds will begin tryouts at 10:45 a.m. For more information, contact Bob at 735-6621 or Pat at 466-9644.

 

PRACTICES

 

GAR Junior High soccer starts mandatory practices at 9 a.m. today at Coal Street soccer field. All candidates must have their physicals and forms completed to practice. Call coach Lugiano at 814-7403 for information.

 

UPCOMING EVENTS

 

King’s College baseball team has openings on its coaching staff for the 2010 season. Applicants should have prior background of playing and/or coaching. If interested, email head coach Jerry Greeley at baseball@kings.edu or call 592-7797.

Lady Birds Bowling League will begin its season on Aug. 26 at Modern Lanes. Bowlers report at 6 p.m. Bowling will begin at 6:15.
