LEAGUES

 

Back Mountain Youth Soccer will host an indoor Futsal/Soccer league from Jan. 8 through March 15 for ages U6 to U16 at the Penn State Wilkes-Barre gym. FIFA futsal ball and rules will be used. Games will be played on weekends. Intramural and travel teams are welcome. Divisions will be set to ensure fair competition. More information and sign-up sheets available online at www.bmysa.org. MEETINGS

 

Wyoming Valley West Wrestling Booster Club will meet at 7:30 p.m. today at the middle school. The toy bingo and upcoming events will be discussed. All parents are encouraged to attend.

 

REGISTRATIONS/TRYOUTS

 

Rock Recreation Center, 340 Carverton Road, is accepting registrations for its basketball and cheerleading program. There is an early registration discount before Dec. 1. UPCOMING EVENTS

 

The Pace Setter Athletic Club Basketball Organization of Northeastern Pa. will operate a number of Thanksgiving weekend basketball projects at Danko’s All-American Fitness Center in Plains Township. The programs will include a basketball skills clinic, scheduled for Friday from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The event will also present two days of showcase basketball games slated for Nov. 28 and 29. Games will be played from noon to 5 p.m. each day. Interested parties may contact Pace Setter A.C. at 347-7018 or pacesetterbasketball@verizon.net. Walk-ins are welcome the days of the events.
