MEETINGS

 

Wyoming Valley West Boys Basketball will hold a mandatory meeting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday for all parents of basketball players in grades 7 through 12 at the Wyoming Valley West Middle School on Chester Street. Any questions, call Sandy at 498-1907.

 

REGISTRATIONS/TRYOUTS

 

The Moosic Mets Elite Fall Baseball Traveling Team will conduct tryouts for the 2010 season in early February or March at a site to be determined. Varsity players graduating in the years 2011 through 2014 are eligible. For information, call Harry Nelson at 570-677-4439, or e-mail Lanpens@comcast.net, or log on to www.MoosicMets.Net. All tournaments will be held throughout the Eastern United States during the 2010 Fall season.

The Rock Recreation Center, 340 Carverton Road, is accepting registrations for its basketball and cheerleading program. There is an early registration discount before Tuesday. Player evaluation day is Dec. 5, which is also the final registration day. Practice begins the week of Jan. 4.For information, call (570) 696-2769 or visit www.RockRec.org.

 

UPCOMING EVENTS

 

South Wilkes-Barre Mini-Mohawk Football uniform drop-off will be held Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at 7 Brown St., Wilkes-Barre. Banquet tickets may be purchased at this time. (Adults - $20, Children 13 & under - $15). Tickets may not be purchased without the return of uniforms. For information, call 824-1181.
