After Ragone’s score, Brown’s Mark Kachmer tied the game 14 seconds later with an 85-yard kickoff return.

The win was the eighth straight for the Huskies and sets up a showdown with Kutztown next week for the PSAC Eastern Division title.

Temple 30, Akron 0

PHILADELPHIA — Redshirt freshman Alex Jackson caught his first career touchdown pass to help Temple beat Akron.

Temple (7-2, 4-1 Mid-American Conference) won its 10th straight home game to tie a school record and posted back-to-back shutouts for the first time since blanking Connecticut and Xavier during the 1971 season.

Villanova 28, Richmond 7

VILLANOVA — Chris Whitney ran for the first of three straight touchdowns by Villanova in a meeting of the last two Football Championship Subdivision champions.

Whitney, who had 116 yards on 11 carries, ran for a 45-yard touchdown with 5:46 left in the first quarter. The Wildcats (6-2, 4-1 Colonial Athletic Association) scored another less than four minutes later on Whitney’s 5-yard pass to Norman White, and then turned an interception into a 21-0 lead over Richmond (4-4, 2-3) just before halftime.
